Provide
the trees for the WISE@CAT project’s roof terrace to encourage wildlife
and promote biodiversity.
To
help make the roof terrace of CAT’s new educational WISE buildings a
pleasant space for working and relaxing in, they will be planting a
number of small trees, providing shade for humans and habitats for
wildlife. Maximising green areas in WISE@CAT is an important part of
CAT’s policy of integrating natural habitats into human developments
and promoting biodiversity.
![]() ![]() 'The cost of a thing is the amount of what I call life which is required to be exchanged for it, immediately or in the long run.' Thoreau. | Maximising
green areas is crucial to the health of our planet; we can all do our
bit - in gardens, cities and by refusing to use non-sustainable wood
products, like flooring, furniture and charcoal. Trees function as the
Earth’s lungs, yet massive deforestation is happening globally with
devastating effects on the Earth’s biodiversity, ability to sustain our
exploding human population and ultimately accelerating climate chaos.
Preserving & planting trees is a huge, inescapable part of our
future survival!![]()
