| The current Stars of Hope centre is rented, so it is vital to install a
portable water filtration system, which is easy to maintain and move.
The centre obtains piped water at present, but this water is heavily
contaminated by parasites, bacteria and viruses due to an open sewage
system and heavy rain fall. Diseases spread through local water
include Salmonella, Hepatitis, Giardiasis & Amebiasis; all
life-threatening to young children with low immune systems and
suffering malnutrition.
![]() ![]() | A water filtration system will provide clean,
safe water and save the constant work of boiling water – which is not
always possible, due to lack of fuel, time and funds. Filters remove
dangerous contaminations without a waiting period and without adding a
chemical taste to the water, crucial to the health of the 130 children. ![]()
